The Dirty Banana

I've been missing the Bahamas...basically since we left the Bahamas. Although I'm normally a Makers-and-water kind of girl, one of my favorite drinks from our honeymoon was The Dirty Banana. It was bananas and rum and pretty much the exact drink you want to have by the beach before your mid-morning nap.

Well, silly me, I never asked for the recipe...which is too bad because this drink was stuck in my head (no, literally, I was singing "dirty banana" to the tune of Dirty Diana by Michael Jackson). So I've been playing Julia Childs or some shit trying to remake this thing. Good news for you, because I finally got it.

Follow these super-simple directions and then tweet us after you've had a few! (@TheFiveDuds)

Ingredients [serves 4-6]
2 frozen bananas (cut & peeled)
(Trust me, you want to cut & peel those before you freeze them.)
1 cup of milk
2 shots of Baileys Original
2 shots of Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum
(You can use more liquor, if you want. I don't know your life.)
1/2 tsp of vanilla
1/4 tsp of cinnamon sugar

Put ingredients in the blender in the following order: bananas, milk, liquor, vanilla, cinnamon sugar. Fill with ice. Liquefy. Party hardy.

Optional: Let freeze for a few hours for some amazing liquored-up soft-serve.

buying more rum now,

P.S. The Duds drink responsibly & so should you. :)
